Sexually transmitted diseases (STD), also known as venereal diseases, are pathologies caused by bacteria and viruses that can affect both men and women. They constitute a vast group of infectious diseases, which can be the cause of acute symptoms, chronic infections and serious long -term complications such as infertility and cancer.

This test is aimed at identifying the presence, through molecular biology techniques, of 7 pathogens agents of sexually transmitted infections. The 7 pathogens detected are: Chlamydia Trachomatis (CT), Neisseria Gonorrhoeae (NG), Trichomonas Vaginalis (TV), Mycoplasma Hominis (MH), Mycoplasma Genitalium (MG), Ureaplasma Urealyticum (UU), URAPLASMA STARVUM (UP).

The test can be carried out on a sample of seminal liquid or on Baslano-Pipuial buffer, anal buffer, vaginal buffer, cervical buffer and urethral buffer and the withdrawal can be carried out externally to the structure. The external sample can be delivered upon compilation of the appropriate form for samples performed externally. Or must be performed on the occasion of the visit with the gynecologist in place for a total cost of € 120. The report will be delivered after 10 days from the acceptance of the sample.
